A modern high-resolution icon grid based on the golden ratio
Most icon sets use a 24px grid which made sense for low-resolution screens a decade ago, however we think it’s time for an update.

The issue with 24px is that the key lines don't match the golden proportions. With a 48px grid, it's easy to follow the golden rule, resulting in icons that appear more balanced and beautiful.
Of course, this is only recommended if the majority of users have high-resolution screens, which we believe is the case for many modern use cases and is also great for print.
Uicons are designed at 48px with 24px in mind. They have been rigorously tested and exported at 24px to work exactly like other icon sets.
